A Mid-Century Kitchen Reno
I’ve worked on a lot of renovations, but this one is probably the most dramatic yet in terms of the “before” and the “after” – the scale of the space, opening of the walls, keeping the integrity of the house but making it modern (hello, new stainless steel backsplash!) at the same time. I could definitely see it in my head, and I am SO thankful these awesome clients trusted that vision….we are ALL so happy with how it came together!
The house is mid-century, but needed maja work. The kitchen needed to be done ASAP as the couple and their 3 young kiddos had to have an open space to cook, live, and play. The entire house is full of tongue and groove, so we wanted to play up all of the beautiful woodwork, especially the beams in the ceiling. Staining them dark, and keeping everything else a shade of white really made them architectural features. I can’t wait to show you guys more of this home’s transformation soon!
Hard to believe that this was the “before!”
And the “after”
