My Christmas Party

Last week, my husband and I hosted our first Christmas party in our new home! We had fun friends new and old, family, and great co-workers all here to kick off the holiday season with a bit of cheer! We appreciated everyone who came, especially those from out of town!!! I had so much fun visiting with everyone, and being preggie makes this time of year that much more special!
I used trusty ol’ Paperless Post for the invite….I thought they were fun!
For the food table, I had our menu displayed which was inspired by a beautiful menu card I found on Etsy.

And did the same with the food labels.

My mother in law and sister in law were here!

And here’s my awesome co-host – my hot husband! He’s the best, and I couldn’t do it without him!

My soon-to-be sister in law was here too!

And my awesome parents came as well!

I had Poinsettia Punch at the entry.  Of course I didn’t get to indulge, but here’s the recipe!

The food was displayed on the dining room table where I used a red and green Uzbek Suzani as my table cloth. In the large mustard pottery vessel, I stuffed cotton stalks and holly stems for a Southern twist.

I’m sorry I don’t have photos of the food once everything was out, but you can see my OCD placement! 🙂

And no Christmas is complete without oranges and cloves!

I had water in the kitchen and the wine and beer were in the dining room.

My mom shared this Pin with me a few weeks ago, and I had to find a way to recreate the look for the festive night.

So, I found this adorable wire mannequin and used holly as the “skirt!”

I’ve done this in years past, and tweaked the design for this Christmas. My dress form got a skirt of garland with a burlap stole…isn’t she fancy?

Meanwhile, my Mom sent me this pic of our cat Paisley at home…he was helping her decorate the Christmas tree and seemed to be enthralled with the lights!
