Pretty in Pink Baby Shower!
I had an absolute ball planning this baby shower for my best friend, Amy!
With 11 hosts, we held a perfectly pink party one Sunday afternoon to spoil the mommy-to-be!
Amy and I have been friends for almost 20 years. We spent our middle school, high school, college, and post-college lives together. There’s nothing we haven’t shared together and leaned on each other through! Amy has been right by my side for all of life’s best times. We married about 3 weeks apart, which was SO FUN! As brides-to-be, we attended parties for each other, had super fun bachelorette weekends, and celebrated our marriages together.
Amy is good as gold, sweet as can be, and an amazing best friend!
Now, we’ll share our latest chapter too – mommy hood! I am thrilled that my son Henry will have a new friend in a few short weeks! EEEK!!!
The hostess team for this event was a dream! We had this fun party planned in no time! Food was divvied up, drinks were assigned, and the decor was being designed (my contribution). :))
I began by choosing the invitation. It set the tone for the whole day!
Pink and White Buffalo Check with Gold and White Polka Dots…too fun!
We decided to host the party at the guest-of-honor’s home to coincide with her nursery reveal. We had it completed just in time for the party – stay tuned for that post soon!
But for now, more deets on the soiree:
I was able to design a few labels and signs for the party with the invitation motif in mind. We used lots of pink flowers – tulips, carnations, roses, and camellias – to convey that this was a girly party for sure!
A copy of Pinkalicious served as the guest book for the day.
A pink silk dot fabric graces the top of the dining room table, where the food would be displayed. Pink lanterns and ric-rac trim hang from the chandelier.
Cream and gold tassels added a touch of whimsy on the buffet.
More pink, white, and gold tassels were draped from the mantel over Amy’s childhood bassinet. She’ll use it for her baby girl, but on this day, we used it for her many, many gifts!
Here are a few more detail shots of the day:
As you can see, our menu was drool-worthy! Everyone contributed a dish, and everything was superb!
In addition to the food, our drinks were fantastic too! Mimosas, pink lemonade, and strawberry shakes were offered to guests as they arrived.
This group loved spoiling our Amy!
Can’t wait for you all to see her nursery!
